Wow! Can you believe it is Thursday? This week is flying by. Sometimes shorter weeks go by faster and sometimes they go by SO.SLOW. I am glad this is a speedy one 🙂

Yesterday after work I grabbed a grande skinny vanilla latte since I could barely keep my eyes open and needed to make it through class.

We never ended up having out study group last night. My brain was fried and so was my classmate Stacey’s. We both felt like a study group really means nothing unless you have gone over the notes individually first- which we hadn’t. So, we decided on a Saturday morning meet up and Tuesday afternoon meet up, plus some individual studying.

Since Adam was coaching basketball he was right around my school by the time I got out so I got a ride home rather than taking the bus! SCORE! Dinner was a veggie burger topped with melted American cheese and buffalo sauce on top of a whole wheat sandwich thin. On the side I made a delicious salad spring mix, red peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, feta and goddess dressing. Delicious and satisfying!

For dessert I had a little bit of sea salt dark chocolate. My favorite dessert ever!

I am not going to lie, Adam and I were in bed at 8:30 pm last night (Adam had to go back to work at 12am- so he has an excuse) I guess that is what we get for staying up until 11:30 pm the night before- we are too old for that crap! I read until about 9:00 and then fell asleep. I had a weird nights sleep since Adam had to get up at 11:30 to go back to work. When he returned home at 6am he asked me if i wanted to go to the gym with him. He had a coffee at 4am and had some energy to burn off. I said, “Sure- I had planned on working out this morning anyways.” Adam and I used to workout all the time together, but we have both been so busy lately we have not had the time too. It was nice to workout with the hubs again 🙂

Pre-workout Snack:

I ran 2 easy miles in 19 minutes (9:30 pace). My hamstrings are still a little sore from my race on Monday, but it felt good to get my legs moving.

Next I moved on to weights:

Chest:

  • 3 sets of 10 push-ups
  • 3 sets of 12 chest flies (machine) with 15 lbs.
  • 3 sets of 10chest presses (machine) with 15 lbs.

Biceps:

  • 3 sets of 12 curls with 12 lb.  dumbbells
  • 3 set of 12 curls with a 20 lb. straight bar
  • 3 sets of 10 concentration curls (machine) with 15 lbs.

Abs:

  • 75 crunches
  • 3 sets of 12 standing side bends with a 20 lb. kettle ball (obliques)
  • 3 sets of 10 leg raises using body weight on a slightly slanted bench.(one step more slanted than I have been doing- I have a feeling I am going to be soreeeeee!)

When we arrived home, Adam hopped in the shower and I made us fat free cappuccinos.

Can we all take a moment to marvel at this delicious breakfast?!?!?!?!

I made a grilled Barney Butter and Banana sandwich on fresh baked whole wheat bread. I just made the sandwich and let it grill away while I blow dried my hair. The outside was crispy and the inside was melty, soft and gooey. I think the fresh baked made all the different.

Today’s Outfit:

Black and white hounds tooth pencil skirt (Marshall’s), black turtle neck (H&M)

Black tights (Target), Black knee high boots-I have had them so long I forget where I got them.

In Other News:

After all of my camera drama (you can read about it here, here, and here). I am every so grateful to have a camera that works! So grateful, I wanted to make sure that I protected my camera and won’t have to deal with this drama again.

So, I bought this “Ali Proof” Pelican 1010 Case.

(Sorry for the poor quality, the pictures were taken with my phone since the camera was in the case. )

The case fits my camera perfectly and is guaranteed to protect it from…well, ME! Fun Fact– if I drop it off a boat it will float in the water! I obviously don’t plan on it, but with me you NEVER know with me!

I think this will be the best $15 I have ever spent!

What is the best $15 you have every spent?
