Murphy’s Law

Hello! I hope you had a good Saturday! Mine was chilly, but great. At 10:30 am, I met Ashley, my dad and two of his friends to go to the BC football game. My dad has had season tickets for probably about 20 years and I have actually never been to a game. It was freezing out, but I was excited.

It was a fun day, it was cold and windy though! The sun came out a few times and warmed us up a little but I felt pretty cold all day. We stayed for the first 3 quarters. BC was loosing by 3 touchdowns when we left and a player had just gotten pretty hurt. During the game I had a hot dog and a pretzel.

I also had a small hot coco to say warm, it was actually really yummy. Sometimes hot coco it super sweet and I can’t finish it, but this one was great.

Ashley and I also split a Green Superfood bar that I had in my purse.

Even though it was cold and we were bundled it was a great day 🙂 Dad was cold!

Of course since we decided to leave in the 3rd quarter with a 24-7 score, BC made a come back. We were listening to the rest of the game on the radio and they ended up coming back and still loosing 24-21. That’s Murphy’s Law…

My dad was pissed that he was missing the come back and was screaming at the radio the whole way home. I actually was trying to take a video without his knowledge. But, every time I started recording, he would get all calm again. Once I stopped recording he would start yelling again. That’s Murphy’s Law too!

Well, I have got to get ready for a girls night with a few girlfriends. I am feeling a little body achey this afternoon. I better not be getting sick!!!!! See you later 🙂

Happy Saturday morning!!!! 🙂 I actually had planned on getting up with Adam this morning at 7 am to workout, but when I got up I had a MASSIVE HEADACHE! I could barely pick my head up. So, I decided to stay in bed for a little while longer and get more sleep. When I got up at 8:45, I only had a baby headache! Yay!!! I am so glad I am feeling better.

Last night after work, I went out for a 5 mile run around the river. It was freezing out and I knew I would be cold for the first mile or so, but I really wanted to run. It ended up not being nearly as bad as I thought. There were a lot of other brave runners out too 🙂 I did 5 miles in 47:58.

  • Mile 1- 9:18
  • Mile 2- 9:33
  • Mile 3- 9:39
  • Mile 4- 9:28
  • Mile 5- 9:51 (lots of traffic light stops)

After my run I showered and made a delicious “kitchen sink” salad. I had some leftover rice and roasted chickpeas from the night before that I wanted to use up. I added them to a big salad of lettuce, tomato, feta cheese and cucumbers topped with Goddess dressing.

After dinner I totally crashed Adam’s guy’s night and went our friend Kevin’s apartment and hung out with Adam and 3 of his co-workers. While chatting with the boys and watching sports I sipped three of these pumpkin beers.

I have never had these pumpkin beers before and they were tasty. No my favorite though, my favorite is still Shipyard 🙂 Are these the cause of my headache? Who knows, it wasn’t like I drank a huge amount of them. It may have been a combo of a few things. At any rate, after three beers I was tired and headed home to get in bed by 11:00.  I just can’t hang anymore 😦

When I did got up this morning with my baby headache. I decided to make breakfast. I made Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal and a cappuccino.

Earlier this week I gave Oscar a little taste of my Pumpkin Pie Oats and he loved it! He loves pumpkin so much. Adam warned me that it was a really bad idea and that it would make him into a junkie. Today while I was trying to eat and blog on the sofa he was driving me nuts. I kept saying, “Oscar stop.”, “Oscar get away from mom’s oatmeal.” I let trying to get his picture and every time I tried to snap his picture he ran away. I guess he didn’t want any proof out there. Silly dog!

Well, I am going to get moving here. My dad offered to take my friend Ashley and I to the Boston College football game. My dad has had season tickets for years, but I have never gone to a game. I am really excited to go, I think it is going to be fun.
